POWERMAG VIEW! NEURONAVIGATION

The use of TMS in research requires the individual and precise positioning of TMS coils in selected brain regions.
The "PowerMAG View! 3D Neuronavigation System" visualizes electromagnetic hotspots in coils with individual anatomical data records.
This allows the TMS system to stimulate the target very accurately.
"Power MAG View!" combines simple operations.

Result: Intuitive positioning with excellent precision and repeatability.

• Intuitive operability
• Coil placement navigation
• Reproducibility • Integrated documentation

POWERMAG VIEW!

Infrared camera
PowerMAG View! The TMS navigation system uses infrared impulses to identify stimulation points. The system consists of an infrared camera system that focuses on both the patient's head and the stimulation coil. The infrared signal is reflected to the camera by a previously placed unique marker/reflector. This will give you a very accurate 3D model of the position of the head and coil. This position is sampled 20-50 times per second, depending on the type of camera used.

Combination of navigation and TMS
The "PowerMAG View! NeuroNavigation System" is part of the PowerMAG product family and is precisely tuned for use with the PowerMAG stimulator.
The integrated system offers customers the advantage of significantly reducing installation costs and support from a single source, as opposed to external navigation systems.
The navigation system is fully integrated in the TMS device trolley. The flexible articulated arm allows for optimal camera alignment.
The coil was developed exclusively for "PowerMAG View!" , Incorporates multiple navigation points into the housing.
This greatly simplifies coil alignment and peaks the accuracy of the navigated TMS.

The footswitch reader provides the ability to connect the footswitch as an input device to the navigation system PC via the USB interface. In addition, a footswitch can be linked to the stimulator to instantly register each stimulus on the PC during the stimulation process.

Precision and space

Precision is achieved by the high resolution of the camera. The camera emits an infrared signal that is reflected by the tracker and received by the camera. The camera then measures the 3D information from the tracker in the sub-millimeter range in real time.
We offer two types of cameras according to your requirements. Polaris Spectra and Polaris Vicra Polaris Spectra is a larger variation with higher measurement volume and faster update rate. Compared to Spectra, Polaris Vicra's smaller dimensions and lighter weight require less space.

Tracker, marker, pointer
The tracker is the basic component for registering the coil and head at the same time. Two trackers with different properties are attached to both the coil and the head (while multiple TMS coil trackers with different shapes are used). Therefore, the coil and head are recorded in the coordinate system of the navigation system and are distinguished from each other.
The marker attached to the tracker reflects the infrared signal transmitted by the camera. This signal is again received by the camera and the system calculates its exact position in space. This technology has the advantage that the tracker has total freedom of movement as a result of its wireless design. Furthermore, trackers and markers have no electronic components that can be compromised by TMS itself.
A pointer is required for simultaneous registration of the head and coil. This pointer is a specially shaped marker that allows you to sample the coil and head reference points to define an exact position. The highest accuracy of trackers, pointers and markers is a prerequisite for accurate navigation results.

When recording multiple coils simultaneously

In order to record multiple coils simultaneously in the navigation system, we need trackers of different shapes.

Registration of the header and the coil

The head and coil are registered in the navigation system with a pointer. Register the head using the three navigation points (pictured right). Use 4 points (left figure) for coil alignment.

Tracker fastening
"MAG & More" offers suitable fasteners that allow you to easily attach the tracker to the coil or headcap. The coil-fixed ball joint allows the tracker to be optimally aligned with the camera. Also included is a second tracker fixture that can be easily clipped onto the headcap.

We provide easy-to-use software
The PowerMAG View! User Software user interface is intuitively designed to help you get started with TMS navigation quickly and easily. Intelligent and powerful algorithms such as whole head and brain segmentation or surface reconstruction facilitate the processing of raw MR data and accelerate the process to the start of TMS navigation. The step-by-step assistant utilizes an intuitive user interface to easily get you started with TMS navigation.

Compatibility with external software

"Power MAG View! Software" means compatible with other external software such as BrainVoyager. For example, fMRI analysis is a useful feature for color-coding and displaying active areas of the brain. This data is PowerMAG View! Can be imported into. Provides an accurate overview of stimulation targets. If you have any questions about software compatibility, please contact us directly.

Positioning/setup

Positioning/Setup Simplifies the placement of "PowerMAG View!" components. The camera window with markers and pointers allows you to quickly check the correct settings. You can check and correct it at any time.

Targeting
Target marker placement is implemented by simply clicking on the desired location in the 3D brain model. You can also manually enter the stimulus target determined in the APC coordinate system or Talairach space. The software's interactive display shows both the distance to the target and the orientation angle of the coil with respect to the desired position. This allows you to work accurately and quickly.

Visualization
PowerMAG View! Neuronavigation visualizes the working area of the coil in real time with individual anatomical 3D data records. A variety of different types of coil displays (3D model, transparent frame model) and head and brain models (3D model, translucent 3D model, transparent frame model) can be selected for intuitive positioning of the coil. Functions such as rotating, tilting, sliding, zooming, sagittal, transverse and coronal sections of the head and brain model are also basic parts of PowerMAG View.
Individual color settings in the work environment allow users to identify important information such as contrast.
The traditional 2D views of MR tomography (sag, cor, tra) are likewise always available. You can always export views as images for documentation or training.
